For smaller sites, we offer template-based sites at a price of £125 for the first page, and £100 per page thereafter, up to a total of five pages.
Website templates are pre-made website designs that are customised and personalised to suit your company's image. You can save time and money by using our website templates for your design project.
We have three available templates, each of which can be customised with your own colour scheme, logo, photogaraphs and text.

An extremely easy-on-the-eye layout, using strong blocks of colour in the top third of the page to complement the primary photograph in the top right. Navigation is contained in a menu to the left of the large photograph, and the white space around the main body copy gives the page a light and airy feel.
Example site: The Bird In Hand
A two page site based on template one. The colours here are more muted than in the example screenshot, and professional photography has been used to emphasise the food element of this pub's trade. This site shows exactly how different sites based on the same template can appear just by utilising a different colour scheme.
Bringing emphasis to your company's logo and an illustrative image, this template is ideally suited to multi-page sites with smaller amounts of copy. The large, uniform areas of the page allow for potentially striking use of colour blocks.
Example site: Headmasters
The Headmasters site, based on template two, uses strong imagery provided by professional photography to emphasise what is, after all, an image oriented business. The large block coloured areas are strengthened with the use of very rich colours. This site has been created as a two-page web site.
A clean, elegant layout with rounded corners and emphasis on a prominent image or photograph top the left.
Navigation is contained in the coloured bar to the top right of the page, and there is ample space for your copy in the right half of the page.

This site uses template three, with a very different colour scheme from the example, and some supplemental images in the main body copy area.

Robbie required a portfolio web site from which to display his original paintings and photography, and to highlight his public sculpture work. We created an elegant yet distinctive web site in XHTML and CSS, utilising Lightbox2 to show off his work. The site was rounded off with an automated Contact form.
Following an initial consultation, where Robbie provided many examples of his art works, Chester.com produced a set of prototype designs for him to choose from. Having selected elements of each design which appealed, Robbie concentrated on gathering his final art works and writing copy for the site while we produced a final visual for his site.
Once we had a visual Robbie was happy with, we were able to build his site and populate it with his art. The site went live in mid December 2007, and came in at a total design and build cost between £1,500 and £1,800.
The Cheshire Van Sales web site is, at heart, a basic brochure site, not dissimilar to the above template sites. What sets this site apart from those is the custom-built stock list function.
By storing the stock list in a database, we have been able to build for the client an admin system which allows him to add, edit and remove vehicles within his stock list. He also has the facility to upload photographs of the vehicles to the site, and these changes are visible instantly on the public-facing web site.
