Joseph Benjamin is a restaurant, bar and delicatessen tucked against Chester’s city walls at the top of Northgate Street.
Our simple plan is to create top quality food with style and imagination as well as respect for traditional methods.
The restaurant menu itself is a work in constant progress; following the seasons, availability of local produce and our imagination.
Alongside our homemade produce (made right here, on the premises) including cakes, pastries, pâtés, terrines, chutneys and pickles, our on-site delicatessen is stocked with a selection of excellent quality items sourced locally, nationally and from around the world.

Thurs, Fri, Sat 9am - Midnight
(last bookings 9pm – Last food orders 9.30pm)
Sun 10am - 5pm
The shop is open on the same days/times as the restaurant and closes at 5pm.
