The course is made up of 18 holes and covers an area of 5,915 yards in total. Many professionals who have played this challenging course have stated that the first five holes are amongst the hardest opening holes to any golf course they have played.

The jewel in the crown must be the picturesque par 3 16th measuring a total of 181 yards. Other holes of note are the 4th which is a tough driving hole for big hitters and not so big hitters. The 17th is a short par 5 but rarely is its green reached in two, due to the slight dogleg left and the water hazard protecting the small green.

There are a total of seven holes containing water hazards with the par 4 11th having a water hazard running from the tee to the green splitting the fairway in two.

Since opening in 1993 Pryors Hayes has matured steadily and is now recognised as a premier North West golf course to play. Since the change of ownership in April 1999, the experienced golf professional management team has made some dramatic improvements in the course layout.
