    • Bollicini joins Italian Bond Point Club

    • On Wednesday 23rd January Bollicini in Rufus Court, Chester, was the first restaurant in Britain to be invited into the famous Italian Bond Point Club. This prestigious club is organised in venues which the Club believe Bond would have visited: slick, elegant and sophisticated places with fine food, wine and company. Bollicini was chosen for this reason, as well as because it is based in Chester, birth place of current Bond actor Daniel Craig.

Guests are invited to sample the food and drink of James Bond's world. The guests at Bollicini enjoyed a meal inspired by 'From Russia with Love', complemented by Bond's favourite Vodka Martini and champagne cocktails.

Several members of the Italian Bond Club were on hand to discuss the James Bond culture with guests, and offer Bollicini's bartenders tips on mixing the perfect martini. The evening was rounded off with a casino where guests played Black Jack and Roulette.

Bollicini Manager, Carlo Vanzan, described the evening as 'a great success where our guests really were treated to a unique experience. Our Italian guests were impressed with the standard of Bollicini, and we will be organising several future events where even more people can experience the culture of James Bond'.

Bollicini has now been given the 'Bond Point Privilege' status, which means it has fulfilled the requirements laid out by the club, and is thought to be in tune with the philosophy of Ian Flemming's world. It joins venues such as The Savoy in Florence, Caffe Mulassano in Turin and The De Russie Hotel in Rome in the exclusive club.
