    • Red House Chef Named Best Young Chef of 2008

    • The Red House Brasserie at Cheshire Oaks is celebrating the achievement of one of its Chefs, Rob McDiarmid, being voted BEST YOUNG CHEF OF 2008 at the recent Chester Food and Drink Festival.

Manager, Simon Speed, commented, "We have only been open for 3 months, and for one of our Chefs to win an award of this magnitude so quickly is fantastic for the whole team."

"Rob is only 23 years old, and he is one of a number of talented young Chefs here at The Red House that are causing a bit of a stir at Cheshire Oaks. We have people queuing out of the door on Saturdays and Sundays to get in! Customers tell us that it is great to have fresh food, served really quickly, in a shopping complex like Cheshire Oaks".

Rob's winning dish was Rabbit Loin Wrapped in Smokey Bacon with Haricot Beans and Whole-Grain Mustard. The dish is actually going to be cooked by Rob at the other Red House at Dee Banks in Chester as a special this Saturday evening. "I am having a transfer this Saturday evening", comments Rob, "and I'm really looking forward to trying the dish with people other than the judges and my girlfriend!".
